Salamat Ammar,
Hope all is well ... I think if you or your friend were to widen your search to include individuals, then you might be surprised by the responses you might get. Don't worry, I'm a long way from art, but it is just a suggestion that might help. This actually could be the start of such a group ... Salamat, Feras Oops,
just realised that you did mention artists .... my mistake ... sorry ... but it still would be a good idea for the free-lance artists(if I may call them that) to form such groups ... Feras I'd be interested too, although I've never tried to equip art for social work(unless you count dabkeh).
Hi
I stumbled about this page and I liked how it encourages art for better social change. I am a Jordanian filmmaker living in Canada. I currently have 2 films in festivals one which is currently going in the Toronto film Festvial. I am more than glad to help out with ideas and educating the people back at home. My line of work would be animation but not restricted to that. There are lots of oppurtunities to get your voice heard in Canada by getting governmental aid to projects aimed for clutural artistic expression. I want to lend a hand in anyway I can. I lived in Jordan for 8 of my teen years. I have friends there (in Jordan) who can also lend a hand. We should all put our hands together and work for something larger than all of us. Firas Momani |
