You should have confused him and told him: zay penne arrabiata, porcini roasted turkey 2o mansaf 3al 6aree2ah el mexikiah...
anyways here's my spaammmyyy (sorry can't afford adwords yet) submit your blog to http://www.iopblogs.com its a geographic aggregator, its in beta stage for now, but we already have some countries up...i would love it if Jordan was next (my home country) hahahahaha, Its just that they are trained BADLY to examine u and the reason ur traveling through tabeee7' conversations.
lol, I honestly feel bad for these people and to be quite honest I sometimes wish they would strike these conversations with me when I get back home. These exchanges are usually my first in Arabic in my homeland after being gone for a long period of time. They're special :p
If you were bored of that exchange of 3 or 4 sentences, imagine what the poor guy has to go through the whole day. How do you expect him not to try to start a casual conversation like that? But it's true that sometimes they do delay the movement of the lines. Here is another one for you at the QA airport. Ususally, there is nothing exciting about the arrival affair. if any, it has been very orderly and smooth. Until...last december 2005...which seems to be around the same time you had an encounter with the same third kind...Hmmm. couuld it be the same fella?
I arrived from Dubai and headed to the passport counter. There was a long line, which I did not mind. Then suddenly, a young officer settled in one of the booths, I and a few others moved over to the new vacant line and started to process a passport. Suddenly, without a word, he just left to another booth and left us waiting for an explaination. None. So we asked the officer what should we do? He said "that's your problem." To make a long story short, a senior officer asked one of the officers to open another line. guess what, those who were at the front waiting the most, ended up at the end of the new line. I said to my self this is a freak accident, considering that over the last year or so I had no such rude encounters. But after reading your post, and with another friend who had a nother rude encounter at QA airport, I am afraid things have a tendency in Jordan to slip backwards instead of moving forward. |
